    The following course must be taken before or at the same time: NURS 1100 - Lifespan I , NURS 1300 - Nursing Judgment I  
    This course combines the study of pharmacology with the study of pathophysiology of disease processes linking the two to support key concepts of both domains.  Pharmacological nursing practice across the lifespan and the basic concepts of pathophysiology are introduced in an integrated manner to provide a basis for the study of selected medications that are used to treat or manage concepts of disease with application to nursing practice.

    Introduction to nursing judgment to present skills and strategies necessary to learn/think like a nurse. This course is the foundation for the thinking processes applied throughout the nursing program.

    This course builds on concepts already introduced within the three domains of health and illness, health care recipient, and professional nursing while allowing for the introduction and application of additional concepts. Emphasis is placed on meeting the health, wellness, and illness needs of the stable and predictable patient across the lifespan. Focus is on meeting the needs of patients and families related to human flourishing, nursing judgment, professional identity, and spirit of inquiry in a variety of healthcare clinical settings.

    Progressive application of skills and strategies to develop nursing judgement. Course focuses on prioritization of patient care, using best evidence in clinical decision making progress and enhances ability to utilize nursing judgment.
