This course is designed to prepare the student to collect and process blood and other specimens for medical laboratory analysis and to provide the information and abilities required by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP). The student will be eligible for certification as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (PBT, ASCP) once 100 hours of clinical experience is completed.
