Purpose
The purpose of the practical nursing program is to prepare the graduate to assume the responsibilities and the skills required to assist under the direction of a registered nurse or other provider. Note: This diploma is available at Columbus, Grand Island and Kearney Suggested Sequence of Courses General Education Core Requirements
All graduates with a diploma will complete a minimum of 9 credits of General Education from the following:
- GEN ED Group A: Communications 3 credit(s)
(Required: ENGL 1010 )
- GEN ED Group B: Critical Thinking and Problem Solving 8 credit(s)
(Required: BIOS 2250 AND BIOS 2260 )
- GEN ED Group C: Career and Life Skills, D: Information & Technology Literacy or E: Global Awareness 3 credit(s)
(Required: PSYC 2890 )
