    This course introduces students to the components of philosophy through readings from the history of philosophy (ancient, modern, and contemporary) combined with the examination of topics such as metaphysics, logic, ethics, epistemology, aesthetics, philosophy of religion, freedom, and self-identity. The course exposes students to a range of ideas and readings representing a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

  • PHIL 2610 - Comparative Religions

    This course will offer a cross-cultural introduction to the world’s major religious/philosophical traditions or faith systems through a comparison of historical origins, rituals, beliefs, practices, worldviews, original religious texts, and other important sources. Interdisciplinary approach to study of religion and various approaches to study of religious systems are a part of the world religions traditions assessment.
