Reimbursement Specialist Diploma


Purpose


This diploma prepares graduates with entry-level skills needed for employment in medical office and/or billing positions in a variety of health care settings. A career in a reimbursement specialist would handle the process of receiving insurance payments, posting to patient accounts, submitting secondary insurances, collections, working through appeals, audits and addressing financial risks to the facility.

Students who graduate with the Reimbursement Specialist diploma will have covered entry level skills needed to assist the facility in the revenue cycle and reimbursement management process.
