Heavy Equipment Operator Technician

Program Description
The Heavy Equipment Operator Technician program is designed to prepare students to be skilled technicians who operate large equipment for the construction of roads, land leveling, pipe laying, and other operations requiring the movement of large volumes of materials. Students will be taught skills to operate earth-moving equipment in a safe and efficient manner using technical drawings and field markers. Students will also earn a Class B CDL license. This program will utilize the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum and assessments that provide nationally recognized and portable credentials.

- Practice safe work habits
- Exhibit personal and professional standards accepted in the Heavy Equipment industry
- Demonstrate Heavy Equipment Operation in the areas of field safety, site layout, and heavy equipment operations.
