PHRM 1200 - Pharmacy Law and Business Applications3 credit(s) Define state and federal pharmacy laws, standards of practice and professional ethics. Students will understand the legal, scope of practice and the limitations as it relates to pharmacy technician position. Know the difference between durable and non-durable medical equipment. Students will learn the process of ordering, receiving, storing, dispensing, diversion and/or returning of legend and controlled substance medications, durable and non-durable medical equipment. Work within appropriate workplace policies and procedures to maintain inventory; process recalls and disposes of outdated and contaminated medications.
