MUSC 2710 - Music in Film3 credit(s)
A chronological study of the history of film music, from its beginnings in the silent film era to current trends. Beginning with film and musical concepts, this history is learned through the lens of iconic film scores, important composers, historical context, and the variety of film and music genres involved. Compositional techniques and music’s relationship to moving images provide a detailed study.
