PHRM 1100 - Introduction to Pharmacy Basics3 credit(s) The following course must be taken before or at the same time: PHRM 1120 - Principles of Pharmacology I , PHRM 1130 - Pharmacy Practice Lab and PHRM 1250 - Pharmaceutical Calculations I The course will introduce the role of a pharmacy technician in a variety of health care settings. The student will learn how to read and interpret prescription/medication orders. Understand fundamentals of taking patient profiles and processing of medication orders. Identify different types of medication errors and contributing factors and steps to be done to identify the errors. Understand quality assurance and steps to be taken when errors are identified.
