LIBR 2150 - Develop & Organize Collections

This course will cover the theories, concepts, and activities integral to selection and collection management in libraries. Included will be community and collection analysis, as well as critical evaluations of a diverse array of information resources. This course will also address descriptive and subject cataloging, and classification of information resources using Library of Congress and Dewey Decimal classification schemes, Sears, and Library of Congress subject headings.
