CRIM 2080 - Criminal Procedures3 credit(s) This course is a study of the legal limitations on criminal investigative practices contained in the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendments to the Constitution. Topics include probable cause, reasonable suspicion, warrants (arrest and search), search and seizure or persons and things, motor vehicle stops, arrest and detention, the exclusionary rule, stop and frisk, electronic surveillance and evidence, lineups and show ups, interrogations, confessions, the right to counsel and legal liabilities of public officers.
