Diesel Technology

Program Description
The diesel technology program provides opportunities to obtain the fundamental knowledge, skills, and training needed for employment or career advancement as a diesel technician. The awards include associate of applied science degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Students in this program will work with their advisors to decide which courses are necessary to complete their educational goals in on-highway truck, diesel power generation, agriculture, or construction equipment repair.
Student Learning Outcomes
Diesel Technology graduates are prepared to:
- Analytically diagnose, service, and maintain on-highway truck, agricultural, and construction equipment using recommended procedures, and service information.
- Demonstrate the ability to understand new systems as they are introduced.
- Exhibit professional conduct and ethics in the workplace while establishing a safe work environment.
