Heavy Equipment Operator Technician AAS Degree

In addition to the basic heavy equipment skills learned in the diploma, the AAS degree allows students to gain knowledge in the area of business.  Opportunities are also available to gain knowledge in areas of their choice such as construction or agriculture.

Basic Achievement Requirements

All graduates with an AA, AS, AAS or ADN will meet minimum achievements for math, writing and reading. Graduates can meet the requirement by:

   1. Acquiring appropriate Mandatory Assessment Placement (MAP) scores in math, writing and reading.
  2. Completing the following courses:
    a. MATH 0980 Math Essentials with a C or above.
    b. ENGL 0970 Reading & Writing Essentials II with a C or above.

General Education Core Requirements

All graduates with an AA, AS, AAS or ADN will complete a minimum of 15 credits of General Education from the following (AA and AS students will have additional requirements):
