Purpose


The Health Informatics certificate provides advanced training for health care or information technology professionals where the two disciplines intersect. The student will examine the resources required to optimize the acquisition, storage, retrieval and use of information in health care.  Each student must meet the minimum qualifications to be approved for this Certificate.  With the approval of the adviser, the student will complete six required credits and twelve elective credits based on the student’s prior expertise.
