Prerequisite (taken before): BIOS 1010 - General Biology  or  BIOS 1090 - General Botany  or  BIOS 1260 - Structure & Function of Human Body II  or  BIOS 1500 - Principles of Biology I  or  BIOS 2250 - General Anatomy & Physiology I  or  BIOS 2260 - General Anatomy & Physiology II  
Study of microbiology with emphasis on structure of microbial cells, their nutrition and growth, control of growth, genetics and genetic engineering, metabolic and biosynthesis activity, and human/microbe interactions. Accompanying laboratory study emphasizes microbiological techniques including microbial control and manipulation.
