PHRM 1240 - Pharmacy Technology Business Applications2 credit(s)
Prerequisite (taken before): PHRM 1110 - Introduction to Pharmacy Technology
Know the difference between durable and non-durable medical equipment. Students will learn the process of ordering, receiving, storing, dispensing, diversion and/or returning of legend and controlled substance medications, durable and non-durable medical equipment. Work within appropriate workplace policies and procedures to maintain inventory; process recalls and disposes of outdated and contaminated medications. Identify and learn about various durable and non-durable medical devices and the supplies needed for each.
