Study of microbiology with emphasis on structure of microbial cells, their nutrition and growth, control of growth, genetics and genetic engineering, metabolic and biosynthesis activity, and human/microbe interactions. Accompanying laboratory study emphasizes microbiological techniques including microbial control and manipulation.
