This program allows graduates of the agribusiness program at CCC to continue their education and work toward a Bachelor of Arts degree in agribusiness at Hastings College. ELEMENTARY EDUCATION

Hastings College Bachelor Bound Teacher Education

In order to provide the opportunity for a seamless transfer for education majors from Central Community College (CCC) to Hastings College, CCC offers the opportunity for a limited number of participants to enroll in the Hastings College Bachelor Bound Teacher Education Program. Students wishing to enroll in the program should declare that intention with their CCC advisor, develop a plan and maintain full-time status with CCC during the two-year course sequence. Although some of the classes are offered at Hastings College, participants register for courses with, and pay, CCC tuition.

The Hastings College courses are taught and graded by Hastings College professors, but become part of the CCC transcript. Students are limited to a maximum of two of the specified education classes at Hastings College per semester. Courses during the Hastings College summer sessions do not qualify for CCC tuition rates. Any additional Hastings College course fees are the student’s responsibility. Admission to the Hastings College Bachelor Bound Teacher Education program is contingent upon:

  1. Praxis Test and Application and acceptance to the Teacher Education program.
  2. Meeting Hastings College Bachelor Bound Teacher Education Standards.

ENGINEERING

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Central Community College (CCC) has an agreement with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering in which students can take courses at CCC for two years, then transfer to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln the third year as Juniors. Students who plan to major in Agricultural Engineering, Biological Systems Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering may begin this Bachelor’s Degree program at CCC. PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT

Northeast Community College & Southeast Community College

Northeast Community College (NECC) and Southeast Community College (SECC) of Nebraska, in cooperation with Central Community College (CCC), provide students the opportunity to enter the occupation of Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Students pursuing an education to become a PTA will complete the program’s general education courses at a CCC campus or center. The remaining courses will be taken at NECC in Norfolk or SECC in Lincoln, NE upon acceptance into the respective program. Students will graduate from NECC or SECC. Clarkson College

Clarkson College offers an AS degree in Physical Therapist Assistant. Twenty hours of specific courses may be taken at Central Community College (CCC), and 40 hours at Clarkson. RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGY

Mary Lanning Hospital (Hastings)

Through an affiliation agreement between Central Community College (CCC) and Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings, students can earn an Associate of Science (AS) Degree from CCC. Graduates of the Mary Lanning School of Radiologic Technology can transfer program credits (60 semester hours) to CCC. These hours, combined with 35 semester hours of general studies requirements will lead to an Associate of Science (AS) Degree. Fifteen of the general studies credits must be completed at CCC.  The credits will transfer to the University of Nebraska-Kearney and apply toward requirements for a Bachelor of Science in Radiography. Southeast Community College (SECC) in Nebraska, in cooperation with Central Community College (CCC), provides students the opportunity to enter the occupation of Radiologic Technology. The remaining courses will be taken at SECC in Lincoln, upon acceptance into the program. RESPIRATORY CARE

Southeast Community College

Through an affiliation agreement between Central Community College (CCC) and Southeast Community College (SECC) in Lincoln, students can earn an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree in Respiratory Care from SECC by completing course work at CCC, courses from SECC online and clinical requirements in the CCC service area.

Candidates for the respiratory care program at SECC are required to complete a minimum of 38 semester hours of specific college prerequisites from CCC. Students must achieve a minimum grade of 75 percent (C) in each course to transfer to SECC for credit in the Respiratory Care Program.

As students complete the last semester of the prerequisite coursework, they must submit an application to SECC for admission to the web-based respiratory care program. The number of students admitted to the program each year will be determined by the availability of clinical sites, but generally not more than 25 students are admitted for one online course.

SURGICAL TECHNOLOGY

Southeast Community College

Southeast Community College (SECC) of Nebraska, in cooperation with Central Community College (CCC), provides graduates the opportunity to enter the occupation of surgical technology. This program allows the student to maintain residency in their hometown area. Students pursuing an education in surgical technology will complete the program’s general education courses and support courses at a CCC campus. The surgical technology courses will be taken from SECC through online coursework and clinics at the local hospital. Students will graduate from SECC and are eligible to take the National Certification Examination to become a certified surgical technologist. NEBRASKA TRANSFER INITIATIVE

The Nebraska Transfer Initiative began in 1995 as a group of general education transfer courses which were articulated among the six Nebraska community colleges. These courses share the same alpha, number, and course content. Recently the Nebraska Transfer Initiative has been expanded to include some non-general education courses which can be used as transfer electives.
